Cora at 26 months

Today Cora was carefully wiping down some things in Conrad's room with a baby wipe while I was changing his diaper. She was talking to herself and said, "Hmm, this is like a ribbon. I am doing science. I am studying it." 26 months and about to defend her dissertation I guess! Also, she told me that these animals were all watching a movie.

Awesome version of a song

So Cora was at On Deck, our local family-friendly sports bar, and was listening to the speaker on the patio. The Killers song with the lyric "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" was playing and she starts singing along: "I got shoulders, I got shoulders!"

Conrad's first week

We have been having fun getting to know Conrad, who is settling in to the Wilson household like a pro. He arrived 6/26/2012 at 9:00 AM. Has been eating and sleeping like a champ ever since! Cora is a wonderful big sister.

Some phone pics of a 2 year old

A new bed, an hour per day of a pirate patch prescribed by the eye doctor, dressing up like a "little fur family", and lots of pretend play. Such a fun girl- I feel lucky to get to hang out with her every day! This morning she curled up her fingers so they looked short and said "Oh no! A robber stole my phalanges!" and laughed hysterically. She obviously inherited her dad's amazing sense of humor. :)

No diapers!! And Family Photos Link

Cora got potty trained a couple of weekends ago, and has been doing so well with wearing big girl underwear! We did it all at once, daytime and nighttime, and she caught on right away (such a little genius). She has had little accidents now and then, and is not always so keen on going to the bathroom in potties outside the house, but we are so proud of her and she is so proud of herself. It is also kind of awesome to have a month or two of being a diaper-free household before #2 arrives!
